MINISTRY REPORT

HENNIE & RINA VENTER, SOUTH AFRICA

OUR NEW TENT …. A useful tool …..

in reaching the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

PRAISE GOD FOR OUR NEW GOSPEL TENT!

We’ve had our first two crusades during June and July 2008 at Kgabopark and Gaphago villages in the Moletjie area, North West of Pietersburg, South Africa.

EVANGELIZING THE LOST …

Our primary task is to evangelize the lost and to be involved with the planting of new churches which are so desperately needed in the rural areas of Africa.   Over the past 30 years we were involved with the planting of over 250 churches and completed the 90th church building during July 2008.

God touched many people’s lives through the proclamation of His Word.   Precious souls are set free from bondage and found new life in Christ.   People are also reached through the showing of the Jesus Film, visitations to houses, schools, hospitals, prisons, etc.  We are also involved through various partnerships to teach and disciple the new converts.

God has called us to be servants in this exciting ministry.

Thank you for your continious prayers for us.

Together we can reach the lost with the

Gospel of Jesus Christ.

CHURCH BUILDING IN GAPHAGO …..

built to the glory of God.

SHORT-TERM MISSION TEAM FROM FLORENCE, SOUTH CAROLINA, USA

It was a privilege to work again with Charles Collins, and this short-term mission team who came from 20 June to 4 July 2008 to help with the building of the church in Gaphago.   Members of the team represented several churches in the Florence, South Carolina, USA.

OLD AND NEW CHURCH BUILDING

The team did an excellent job in finishing the construction of the walls within 7 days.

The congregation of Gaphago gathered for many years in this old shack to worship.   Pastor Sam Lamola expressed their thanks for receiving this beautiful building.

Our team was welcomed by the chief of the area, and every day teams went to visit people at their homes.     Many children of the village were blessed as we ministered to them every afternoon in the tent.

CHURCH BUILDING IN COROMANDEL …..

completed  to the glory of God.

A beautiful church building arose out of the heap of steel bars that laid for several years on the site after a storm blown it down.   Pastor Lucas Mashegoane told us about the need, we prayed and God provided the finances and short-term team for the completion of the church building.   It was indeed a great challenge to get this building up.    Nothing is impossible with our God as this was only a dream a year ago, and through God’s wisdom and strength, became a reality.   Coromandel town ship is situated in the Lydenburg district.   has made their home.  This is a fast developing township, where thousands of Zulu and Sotho people live and where there is great potential to grow a strong church.

SHALOM CHURCH DEDICATION …

A GREAT AND JOYFUL DAY …

Hennie preached a powerful message during the dedication of the church building that took place on July 27th, 2008.   Pastor Johannes Ramashala expressed their thanks to God who has made this project possible.

PRAISE GOD FOR LABORERS IN HIS HARVEST FIELDS FROM TEXAS & CALIFORNIA, USA ….

Ken Huff and short term mission team from Texas and California assisted with the construction of the church.   This was a special team reunion effort as most of them came to assist with several building projects over the past 15 years.

CHILDREN & WOMEN MINISTRY IN COROMANDEL ….

The women were the first to meet for Bible study in their new building.

Play time with the children during the weeklong outreach and ministry to the children of the pre-school in the village.

There was also time to teach Lydia how to use her sewing machine.

OUTREACH TO SIBERIA, RUSSIA

We went through a very disappointing time during the first week in August, as the outreach to Siberia, Russia, was cancelled.    For more than a year we have prayed, and put in much preparation into the arrangements for the  outreach.    We’ve even got our visas in time, but our partners cancelled their trip and it was not possible for Hennie to carry the ground cost and project cost by himself.     God gave wisdom in the situation, and we were able to redeem most of Hennie’s airfare money and send that to pastor Sergey Sotnikov at Light of the Gospel Church to help him to get some work done before the winter starts in Siberia.    Thanks for everyone who prayed and supported this project.    Please keep pastor Sergey in your prayers as he has also have to make very important decisions regarding his ministry.

MORE VENTER NEWS ….

25 August 2008

Dear friends,

It is always so refreshing and encouraging to know that there is someone in the great wide world thinking and praying for us.    Thank you so much for your concerns and prayers for us and more especially to be our friends.   We really need and appreciate it very much.

This last two months were not easy as we worked against time to get two building projects finished together with Gospel crusade every night.    We’ve had experiencing amazingly good weather inspite of being mid-winter in South Africa  and our accommodations the last two projects were not too bad as we were able to pitch our tents in school classrooms because of the school holidays.    God is good and He is sustaining us in spite of the situation.

GOT SOME WORK DONE ON EL SHADDAI  -  MISSION’S ACCOMMODATION  & CONFERENCE CENTRE

Two years ago, God has led us to start with the developing of a Mission’s accommodation & conference center where we live in Dalmada, Pietersburg.     This will fulfill a great need in our area to host Christian conferences and seminars as well as provide affordable accommodation for travellers, church groups and missionaries.   The long-term purpose of this project is to generate finances to support our mission efforts.     Please pray that God will provide for us what’s needed to get this exiting project of the ground and operational.   Short-term mission teams are welcome to come and assist with this missions project.

Our target is to have the first phase in operation by the end of December 2008.   We’ve got a lot done during the past two weeks and is working to see the first phase complete -

  • Four guest rooms with private facilities
  • Fit doors and finish the floor of the lapa area which will host the reception, dining room and conference hall
  • Paving of the parking area and entrance road
  • Plant over 50 indiginious trees
  • Building of 4 log cabins for guests
  • Building of ablution block for campers
  • Fence the property

USA VISIT, MARCH/APRIL 2009

God willing, we hope to see you again as we are planning to come early in 2009 to visit our friends and partner Churches in the USA, and  we hope.  Please let us know if that may be possible so that we can start working on our intenary.

Thanks again for sharing with you..... and again thanks for being our friends.    Send everyone there we know our love and greetings.
