MINISTRY REPORT

HENNIE & RINA VENTER, SOUTH AFRICA

Jesus said: “ And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.” (John 12:32)

Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

Greetings to you in the most wonderful Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior! We are doing well, in spite of a very busy schedule. It is almost mid-Winter in South Africa and we thank God for giving us good health in spite of difficult living conditions (in tents) when are ministering on projects. We appreciate your prayers and support for us. You are strengthening our hands to reach the lost, and it is with joy that we want to share with you the great things God has done over the past weeks.

MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS DURING MAY!

What will it take to reach the world for Christ? God is doing His part in stirring world events to create a spiritual hunger in people who are searching for hope only Jesus Christ can provide. God is at work around us, and is giving to us open doors to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth…

PREPARATIONS FOR UPCOMING CHURCH BUILDING PROJECTS COROMANDEL

Hennie and our co-worker Solly Makhafola worked during the month to get the steel frame up for the church building in Coromandel. Br Ken Huff and a short term team from Lake Jackson , Texas will be arriving on July 18 th to assist with the construction of the church.

GAPHAGO

Br Charles Collins, Calvary BC , will lead the short-term team that will be coming during June 2008 to help with the building of the church. Much work went into the project so far to get it ready before the team will be arriving on 20 June.

CELEBRATING MOTHER'S DAY

WITH MAKONDE BAPTIST CHURCH , VENDA

We spend Sunday 11 th May with the congregation at Makonde. Hennie preached the Word of God, encouraging and motivating the church to be faithful to share Christ with more people. We celebrated not only Mother's day but also God's faithfulness and goodness to the congregation. The church was constructed a year ago and the congregation has grown from strength to strength since. Pastor Amos and his leaders are doing well and are reaching out to the rural communities in Venda .

NAMIBIA RESEARCH TRIP

We've met Andrew Mwina in Windhoek , as he was introducing us to various pastors and churches in the Namibia area. We've met with pastor Izak in Omaruru and attended the evening service with the church. They shared their vision to extend the Gospel in least reached places in Namibia and also to establish a center to

minister to orphans and poor in Omaruru. We also visit the Kuisebmond Baptist Church in WalvisBay. Unfortunately Pastor Lucas Ndjmamba was not available during this time. He is originally from Angola and we are looking into possibility to help him with work in neglected rural areas towards the border with Angola . We hope, if God willing, to make contact with him in future. It was a blessing to meet with people of the Damara people group in the Spitzkoppen area. There are several churches established but lack discipleship.

FIRST GOSPEL CRUSADE IN OUR NEW TENT

The new Gospel tent was pitched for the first time in Kgabopark. We worked all week to manufacture seating for at least 1000 people. What a beautiful sight it was to see how people came in hundreds every night to listen to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. More beautiful it was to see how people responded on the invitation to accept

Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Thanks so much for each one who contributed to the purchase of the tent. Soon we will be able to supply the needed lighting and sound equipment and generator for the tent ministry.

PRAISE GOD FOR THE SALVATION OF LOST SOULS DURING THIS CRUSADE!

OUTREACH & CHURCH BUILDING PROJECT KGABOPARK,

LIMPOPO PROVINCE , SA

It was with great excitement that we received the short-term mission team from the First Baptist Church Milan, Tn, West Jackson Baptist Church , Jackson , Tn and two men David & Steve from Stamping ground Baptist Church , Ky , USA . Pastor Don Whitt and Ron Hale led the evangelism ministry during the outreach.

On the first Sunday we divided into four teams who preached at four different locations. Pastor Sam Lamola of the mother church, Fairley Baptist Church was so grateful for the help and encouragement. The Phaudi Baptist Church was also visited during this time. We used every opportunity to preach the Gospel in the local school, hospital, school for the deaf & blind, at homes and in the streets. The ministry to children every day was the highlight as hundreds of children came to listen to the Word of God at 3pm in the tent. We thank the team who did so much preparation to do this ministry and to sow the good seed of the Gospel in the hearts of the children.

It was a joy to have our first Gospel service in the tent and we thank God for the many precious souls who came to know Jesus as their Savior through the tent crusade every evening.

It was also a privilege to visit the office of the Chief of the Moletjie area. There are more than a 100 villages under King Solomon's Kgabo ‘s jurisdiction and he was very encouraged by our visit and welcomed us to build more churches in his area.

The dedication of the church took place on Sunday, 8 June 2008 . It was a day of joy and celebration about the goodness and provision of God to His children. Pastor Sam and Lucas are committed servants of God and will oversee the follow-up work.

“EL SHADDAI” - MISSION 'S ACCOMMODATION

& CONFERENCE CENTRE

God has led us to start with the developing of a Mission 's accommodation & conference center where we live in Dalmada, Polokwane. Two years ago we launched the project in faith and started with the necessary legal applications for rezoning of the land with our municipality. This will fulfill a great need in our area to host Christian conferences and seminars as well as provide affordable accommodation for travelers, church groups and missionaries. The long-term purpose of this project is to generate finances to support our mission efforts, especially in the area of reaching out across borders into the world. Please pray with us for this project. We need finances and people who can invest into this exiting project to help us to get if of the ground. We hope to have our first phase in operation by the end of December 2008.

El Shaddai” is Hebrew of one of the Judaic names of God. It is normally translated “God Almighty who is all sufficient”

We decided on the name “El Shaddai” as we can witness first hand of God's sufficiency in working thirty years in full-time ministry. God is faithful and He has provided for us in every need over thirty years.

Indeed, He (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is all sufficient!
